TransformativeMed Wins Achievement in Digital Health Gold Award

Award Applauds Company Effort to Simplify Electronic Health Record Usability for Clinicians

SEATTLE, March 1, 2019-- TransformativeMed, the first to directly embed specialized clinical workflows into the EHR to enhance usability, efficiency and renew the joy of patient care, received the gold award for outstanding achievement in digital health from Seattle Business magazine’s 2019 Leaders in Health Care Awards. TransformativeMed was honored at an awards dinner on February 28, 2019, in front of an audience of hundreds of the state’s most influential healthcare executives, practitioners, research scientists, and medical professionals. The program recognizes individuals and organizations that lead Washington’s world-class health care industry in patient care, outstanding leadership and thoughtful innovation. The Achievement in Digital Health is awarded to the company that has done the best job offering analytics, patient records, decision support and/or applications to help medical institutions offer higher quality and more cost-effective services to health-care providers.

In his acceptance speech TransformativeMed President Doug Cusick stated, “Last year the Association of American Medical Colleges reported that the US could see a shortage of up to 120,000 physicians by 2030. This will impact patient care across the nation. We must make it easier for physicians to provide efficient, high quality care—and help bring the joy back into delivering patient care.” Cusick added, “At TransformativeMed we are using AI, machine learning and good old American design ingenuity to make Electronic Health Records symbiotic with how physicians work. And when we give physicians these tools—their job satisfaction goes up, they work more efficiently, and quality care improves. It’s that simple.”
